Our Farmers

Alderfers Poulty Farm is a 5th generation family farm that overlooks the peaceful, rolling hills of Southeastern, PA. Several years ago, the family decided to make a healthy change and produce the most nutritious, purest, natural, organic egg possible. Eggs are collected from hens which are pastured, they are free to roam and peck outdoors.

Blooming Glen Farm

Farmers Tom Murtha and Tricia Borneman grow over 75 different varieties of vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs on 70 acres of preserved land on Blooming Glen Farm  in Hilltown Township, PA.  Tricia grew up in Bucks County, where she and Tom returned to work towards preserving the region’s rich agricultural heritage. 

Blue Moon Acres

Blue Moon Acres was started more than 19 years ago by Jim and Kathy Lyons to deliver top-quality micro greens and herbs to the finest restaurants and chefs without the use of chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. Throughout the years Jim and Kathy have remained dedicated to growing the highest quality specialty greens with the least amount of environmental impact. The farm has two locations, one in Buckingham, PA, and one in Pennington, NJ.

Kiwi Korners was founded in 1988 and is located in central Pennsylvania. Out of the farm's 40 plus acres, over half are dedicated towards growing kiwi berries. 

Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative

Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative is a non-profit organic farmers cooperative of over 100 family farmers headquartered in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The cooperation focuses on creating healthy, high quality foods from highly maintained and enriched soils on small-scale family farms.

Kauffman's Family Orchard

Kauffman’s Family Orchard products have been recognized and enjoyed since the early 1900’s. Founder Amos L. Kauffman planted the first fruit trees in 1911, and today the 3rd, 4th, & 5th generations own & operate the business. Kauffmans Orchards is located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country. Over 135 varieties of tree fruits are produced on 100 acres of orchards and are managed with sustainable farming practices such as IPM.

Kiwi Korners

Muth Family Farm

Muth Family Farm is operated by Lisa and Bob Muth since 1989. Muth Family Farm is recognized as a leading regional farm in sustainable agriculture, soil development and organic farming. The farm, located in Southern New Jersey, specializes in growing vegetables. 

Marolda Farms

Marolda Farms is owned and operated by Richard and Sherry Marolda and their son Richard Jr. The Maroldas strive to provide their customers with high-quality produce at a fair price. For the safety and benefits of its customers, Marolda uses no surface water, water drafted from ponds, ditches, streams, etc. All of the irrigation and wash — clean, safe, and potable — is drawn from underground wells.

Little Buck Organics

Little Buck Organics was started by Elizabeth and Louis Condo in 1997. Located in Hammonton, New Jersey, Little Buck Organics offers certified organic blueberries from June through August.  

Terhune Orchards

Terhune Orchards was started in 1975 by Gary and Pam Mount and is now being operated by their daughter. Terhune Orchards grows more than 35 crops on 200 acres of preserved farmland in Lawrence Township in Central New Jersey. The farm's land is divided into growing 30 varieties of apples, lettuce, squash, broccoli, brussel sprouts, rosemary, thyme, peaches, pears, and grapes. In 2005 co-owner Gary Mount was awarded National Apple Grower of the Year.

Zone 7

Zone 7 is a farm fresh-distribution service that connects farmers and chefs. Zone 7 picks up high quality ingredients from New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania farms and delivers them  to restaurants, grocers, and institutions including Boxed Organics on a weekly basis.

Tuscarora Organic Growers

Tuscarora Organic Growers was founded in 1988 by a group of neighboring farmers near Hustontown, Pennsylvania. The farmers work together to coordinate their crops in order to maximize their produce selection. Tuscarora Organic Growers now consists of 28 farmers working together to supply produce to their customers all year long.
